D.H. Russell's Trout & Bird has a light, agile feel in the hand but feels sturdy under pressure with its full length tang and carbon steel blade making it 8" overall. Perfect for filleting or light everyday work, the Trout & Bird cuts the famous Russell silhouette and feels like coming home to hold.
Its 3 7/8" German carbon steel blade was forged in Nova Scotia Canada and is likely one of the easiest knives to get an edge on and one of the best at holding it. The rosewood handle is smooth and warm to the touch and the whole unit just feels like it's a quality that is just no longer found in knives made today.
The leather sheath for this knife is available in both the regular open sheath design as well as the "Army" flap version that covers the entire knife.
